SCIENCE LAND AND ART WORLD AT CRESCENT HIGH SCHOOL

Science involves trial and error. Scientist refine theories each day. But as they do, they help us grasp more clearly the wonders of the world and the universe.- Tony Snow

Crescent High School and Junior College celebrated Science Day on 29th February 2020. The theme for the exhibition was ‘Women in Science’. The two days celebration was held in the school premises.One day for Quiz Competition and the main day as Science Exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated by Ex – Crescentian Mr. Swapnil Shinde, VP Syska LED. The judges for the event were Mr. Rushad Daruwala, Mrs. Roshanara Daruwala, and Mr. Abdul Azeem Shaikh.

Around 87 exhibits were displayed in the event. A total number of 223 students from Std Ist – XIth displayed many creative ideas. They showcased static and working models which can be used for learning various scientific concepts. The exhibits included chocolate machine, Hammer Action Grinder, Heron’s fountain, Hydraulic crane, River clearing machine, Ghat accident preventer, Pani Puri Vending Machine, Ropeway Vikram Lander etc. The students who viewed the various projects and experiments had a wonderful learning experience. Principal Mrs. M. A. Daruwala blessed the students for a bright future. Vice – Principals – Mrs. Farha Daruwala and Mrs. Heena Daruwala guided the teachers and students throughout their preparations. Co-ordinators Ms. Nilofer Shaikh and Mrs. Nadia Shaikh along with the In-charges Mrs. Nikhatara Shaikh and Mrs. Anisa Attar planned and implemented the whole event. Mrs. Aafiya compered the program. The Principal appreciated the entire team of Science and Art department, all teachers and students for putting in the efforts and making the exhibition a grand success.

The exhibition brought out the ability to innovate, to manifest ideas into reality and present them effectively and efficiently.
